No - and I asked her a couple of questions within a few posts and she hasn't answered. That's why I started that other thread :( I hope nothing's wrong. I know she was in a pretty bad spot pain and health-wise.

Dixie has been e-mailing means sys she cnt get back on the board. She told me that she has e-mailed VICKIE but has gotten no response. I sure haven't red any of her posts that she should be banned for! There was some to do with AngMichele but tht was just Dixie being supportive which is what we are here for . . . Q

Oh, I'm sure she couldn't be banned! That would be horrible, she certainly (that I saw) didn't do anything worthy of that. I hope it's just her computer or something.

I hate to see anyone banned :( unless they're outright attacking members or something, especially since we all have need for so much support that we get here.

Susie or Vickie, or any other mods, do you know?

Vickie didn't get anything from Dixie until I got 6 emails back to back a few hours ago and spoke with Peter as well concerning her issues. We were asked by admin to explain why she was banned and I did so this afternoon. I will not however discuss this on the open forum. You all are not always aware of all things going on, some scenes are played out off forum or in the Mod forum. This is one of those times. Having your account locked can be temporary or permanent but that decision is not always ours to make and Peter is really good about asking our opinions as to lifting bans and determining how long they should stand for.

We have rules for a reason and HW has been operating a long time with them in place so its served us well. If your not familiar with them Please read them.

The best policy is keep in mind we're family oriented anyone who is old enough to know how to make an account can. You nvr know whose reading.
Choice of treatment or lack of is personal right or wrong
We don't dog medical folks and especially Dr's
We offer advice not cures and diagnosis
We don't get into political debates or moral ones and we don't discuss illegal drug use, suicide, self injury,

If you keep those things in mind when posting you shouldnt have any problems.

Well I hope it is only temporary as I'd miss her very much. Though if it were me I don't think I'd come back, out of embarrassment or anger.

Now I feel like I really have to watch what I say for fear of getting my account locked. I would never say anything intended to hurt anyone or break any of the rules, but we're all human and honestly I can't say that I won't slip up or that I haven't before (the language thing seems like one that people should easily be able to prevent themselves from violating).

I've dogged medical folks, a lot. My own doctors, and many people do that here, so that one I don't really get. In all seriousness, Vickie, could you explain that one? Not *why* the rule is in place, but *what* it means to 'dog medical folks and especially Dr's " ? I don't get it, why is it "especially dr's' "? Dr's deserve more respect than others in the medical field, so it would *sort of* be okay for us to badmouth an MRI tech, or an MA or a PA, but not say anything negative about a Dr.? Also, it seems kind of subjective as to what 'dogging medical folks' entails, but then I know that most of the judgment calls are yours (the mods).

I'm really just trying to understand.

And I will also say that I'm grateful to all the mods on here - I would NOT want your job but you really do keep things moving very well here. It's got to be hard work, so thank you very much for helping to make this place what it is.

First let me say this thread will not turn into a three ring circus. You all asked a question and although I didn't have to answer it I did.

I believe I said medical folks and included Dr's in there. You think they don't read here? No rules say they can't only can't give medical advice and I know several who do and wish to remain anonymous. You should never go so far to provide enough info about your self or any of your medical team that should someone choose to they could figure it out.

Peter allows us to ban spammers and advertising ppl but all member bans have to be done through him.

I think dogging is self explanatory and it doesn't bode well for us to talk negatively about a particular Dr or clinic, looks bad for any health related forum to have such post's. Certainly doesn't look good for you if your Dr or one of his staff figures out who you are. If you have knowledge of a good or bad Dr, clinicians or pharmacy that you feel needs to be shared then it needs to be done via email.

Your right about one thing though this job s#*#* most days and years now I keep asking myself why I bother

VICKIE, when you wrote about getting blocked or some such at Walgreens wouldn't you consider it saying something negative about a pharmacy. This site is full of people griping about their Drs., pharmacies and clinics. . . . Q

I don't even know what to say. I'm so saddened by this. No three ring circus. I just think it's unkind, and I feel like I've personally turned my back on a 'friend.'

No I wasn't calling Walgreens a jackass!! Those were words we edited? The ones you all don't see because we're here doing the job Peter asked and expects us to do. I stated facts backed up with the link and knowledge to provide truth in what I was saying NOT my opinion. Not sure what link to include in proving a Dr is a back end of a donkey. You all do not see all thats posted, you see what we leave you to see after its edited and believe me there's days its all we do here.

You got half of what Ang posted so you can't possibly make a judgement call as we did by alerting Peter. Snarky remarks about something we post or respond needs to stop because if we've edited part of the post you have not got all the facts to say we are right or wrong.

You all think this crusade is helping Dixie? That's something you do need to think about.

I'm not understanding how it's a crusade, but I guess it's all in perspective. I was simply stating that a) it makes me very nervous about my own presence here, that it could be snatched away for something I didn't intend, and b) I'm sad about my friend, who I care about, not having this support anymore.

Not sure how that's a crusade and it certainly isn't making any moral judgments or getting angry at anybody else.

If Peter gets a complaint from either a member or a mod about another member he will take the time to go back through & read that members posts to see if they have in fact violated the forum rules. What he reads in their posts determines whether he will lock an account. A mod from any other forum can alert him about any members post. Most members think its up to mods to lock these accounts, little do they know only Peter can do that.

Vickie, I am going to lock this for you, continuing to kick this around serves no purpose.
