Oxy and its original makers pharma have had many bumps in their journey and actually reformulated the original sometime around 2010 from the original formula released in 1995 to make oxy abuse ddeterrent and that patent holds until 2025 and they're quick to file suit against all generic manufacturers that try to replicate closely their formulas. Therefore you can guess that by these actions the generic manufacturers have to be creative in deviating from the original formula and they do that by what fillers and additives they use. There's many generic manufacturers that attempted jumping the bandwagon and cutting into pharmas billion dollars sales. Teva,Endo, caraco,Sun,Watson,to name a few but Caraco is likely the worst we hear the most complaints about and not just from the oxy folks but several of the generic drugs they make. Teva is the one I hear about the most as a preference,oh Qualitest labs is another.
Everyone seems to have a favorite though. There's actually some forms of oxy out there that doesn't even have Fda approval since they were grandfathered in before the new regulations and laws took effect and all the hoopla started. I think that the majority of those still remain to be in the 5 mg form.
Anyway good luck and I certainly hope that this month goes quickly for you and remember to inquire prior to filling the next script and that if you have to change pharmacies to get a different brand and your under contract with a PM that requires you by that contract to use the same pharmacy that you notify the office of that change and I would do so in writing and keeping a copy. I know ppl who have lost their PM for failing to do so.
