Hey guys I'm new to this forum, I would like to know if anyone has experienced anything like what I am currently experiencing, I have suffered chronic pain in my elbow for 14 years and in my pelvis/left SLJ for 7 years, but what I have going on now makes those problems seem like nothing!
It started 10/11 weeks ago, I was sat at my desk and I suddenly suffered pain around my belly button, after 15 minutes it shot down to my appendix area. I was taken to hospital and spent three days there having blood tests and ultrasounds that came back normal (except for a small ovarian cyst on the left) I was then discharged.
After three weeks the pain reduced enough for me to return to work on office based duties. I think I lasted three weeks on reduced hours, then one morning the pain shot back to my belly button and 6 minutes later back to my appendix area, I was sent to the doctors who sent me straight to hospital.
I spent 8 days in hospital this time (a different hospital to the previous one) blood tests were normal, ultrasound showed my small cyst had gone, they put me on codeine and oramorph which gave me constipation and somehow it managed to push my pain lower into the ovary area which it has stayed ever since. They then discharged me.
The doctor at the hospital decided to do a laproscopy, he found blood near my ovary and assumes it was from a cyst and he also removed my appendix, this has not helped the pain, I was sent away with dihydrocodiene.
So far the only drug that has relieved the pain in any way is morphine/oramorph, I am now taking gabapentin incase it is neurogenic pain.
But since my surgery, my pain is now also in my left ovary area and uterus, much milder than the right side though. Pain during intercourse is getting unbearable, my urethra constantly hurts, and my vagina and rectum have a constant feeling of pressure, I find it extremely painful to pass urine and bowel movements (in the right ovary area). The pain I suffer is constant, it changes between burning, stabbing, tearing, it sometimes itches too and even pulsates.
My doctor thinks it may be gyno related, I had a coil removed in December and had a 4 week bleed which made me quite ill, I had another fitted in January and it was so painful, I also found out I have abnormal cells on my cervix again, I had my second coil removed because of the pain and had a 3 week bleed, I think I've only had one actual period this year.
I can't work, I can't drive and I can't live my normal life
