Hello Everyone, :)

HealingWell is a wonderful home w/ great forums and people. Wish I had found you years ago!

If anyone has questions about CSS, MS, MRIs, neuro symptoms, etc., I would love to help.

Have had MS entire lifetime, but not Dx until 2000. Grade-3 CSS, caused by age and MS DMTs (disease-modifying treatments), needs 2-lvl ACDF, but am not candidate for surgery (due to swallowing problems).

Dx Hx: Fibro --> ON --> TM --> MS --> CSS.

Current Rx: Methadone (nociceptive pain), Hydrocodone (break-thru nociceptive pain), Lyrica (neuropathic pain), Keppra (neuropathic eye pain), Baclofen (spasms, spasticity), Cymbalta (depression), Xanax (anxiety), Ambien (sleep). Taking a break from MS DMTs.

Hello Patty & welcome to the chronic pain forum. Glad that you found us but sorry you have the need to be here. From reading your post it sounds like you have a lot going on with your health. At least by finding Healing Well you will know that you are no longer alone. Many of us visit more than one forum here. We have some pretty awesome people in these forums.

Welcome, Patty.

I had ACDF, and I had swallowing trouble before it (polio). I'm no worse, no better than before in that. I did have a bit of trouble for a couple of weeks, needed a feeding tube. When food or pills don't go down all the way I just give a little cough and take a drink of something warm like tea. Water doesn't help.

I'm sure your experience will be helpful for others. I hope other posters here can help you too.

Hi Patty I also want to Welcome you to Healing Well chronic pain forum! Sounds like you have allot going on! I think you have found one of the best web sites on the internet! Chronic Pain can be lonely and difficult to live with but when your here on this forum your never alone! Your part of our family and you can usually can always find at least couple of members here to listen to you at any given time. We can't cure you but we definitely can lend you our ears and listen and support you! and give you what advice we might have! Welcome aboard!
