Have another round of ketamine infusions this week (1 mo out since the last infusions, 3rd set in the series). They do seem to be helping quite a bit, so as difficult as they are physically, it is worth it. I can't say that I am looking forward to the infusions, but I am looking forward to the results.
Also been diagnosed with CRPS, which actually makes a whole lot of sense given my symptoms -- especially the many bizarre neurological symptoms that no one could ever explain. I guess no one really thought about it before. My neurosurgeon did mention that he thought I might have something "CRPS-like" once about a year ago, but I'm not your typical case, since it is my eye and face, not my limbs, that are affected. But apparently, CRPS can affect any part of the body, and the eye is no exception. The doc I'm seeing now is a CRPS expert, and he's pretty convinced that that's what is going on with me. And from everything that I have read, it sure sounds like me. Doesn't change anything treatment wise, but after 8 yrs of no real primary diagnosis, it is kind of nice to have something to call it -- at least it makes things a lot easier to explain to people what is going on.
Hope everyone has a good week.
