Do you know anything about IRS, Tax Laws?
We did our taxes this year sent it in with a certified green card, where they have to sign for it, we owed them and sent a check. On Monday April 25th we got a IRS Check in the mail, it looks legit, we tested the water mark and the little symbol bled red and it looks legal, but we don't know why we got the check. So we are holding onto it for now. it say something about interests on it as well.
Would a bank know if this is a real or IRS check fake scam?
Will the IRS send us a letter as to why we got check?
It looks legit, but with scams out there everyone has to be careful. So, we are kind of uncertain about this and are just holding onto it for now.

Char, best thing to do is call IRS directly & speak with them about this check. Believe it or not they are not bad at all to deal with over the phone. They can tell you exactly what its for. It sort of sounds like they found an error on a prior return & owed you some more money.
