Hi All,
I'm a newbie here. I had Trigger Finger surgery approximately 1-1/2 months ago on my L middle finger, then had a brief infection at the site with antibiotic relief within 1 week. Since then under surgical site and knuckle above has continued inflammation, tightness and restriction of movement to the same degree each day with or without massage and exercise. Flexion is the problem, not extension. I can get to the same point, about 3/4 inch from the hand and no further until its very tight. Further, ROM exercise very temporarily relieve the stiffness and then comes back within a few minutes. Massage seems to worsen the symptoms. Ice doesn't seem to help. When I wrap the finger at night in the morning it seems somewhat better but once again gets worse after removal. I have had TF surgery on 3 other fingers/thumb in the recent past (within 1 yr) as well as CT and Ulnar Transposition on both arms. Have not had the chronic issue I am seeing now with the others. Does anyone else have a similar experience they can offer advice or reasonable expectation whether this will pass and in what time frame? I appreciate any help! Thanks!!
