Cervical and Suport Pillow Questions.

Hello again. :)

I'm waiting on an urgent referral to a Neuro Sx regarding some findings on my latest MRI, apparently my neck issues (C 4,5 and 6) have worsened spinal cord involvement and in theory, is causing a lot of my Neuro muscular, vertigo and coordination issues. Fun times. She's not sure if they're going to just want to snip some things to make some more room, or fuse. I'm hoping for just the snipping as fusions scare the crap out of me. In my PM Dr's words "it's a wreck in there."

She's also ordered an MRI for this Tuesday to recheck my lumbar area to see if we can do anything else with it and if it's worsened as well. MRI's are sort of a nightmare for me as I have chronic spasms and need IV sedation. Even with the IV Valium on board it can take a while. My last RFA on my facet joints even took a while since my spasms kept pushing the needles out. Anyway...

I've checked some older posts but am curious as to what some of your support pillow faves are for your neck, as the posts I found were a bit older. Any suggestions for sleeping comfortably pre and post op are appreciated and I think it's time to break down and get one of the special cervical pillows. I'm sure once I know for sure what procedure(s) they're doing I'll have many more questions.

I'm trying not to jump the gun but as someone who lives alone with 4 pets, my mind is reeling with all the possible things I need to be arranging and if I can go through recovery on my own once I'm home.
