Joan:
Your primary care provider is not denying your medication for high blood pressure. The provider is requiring that you schedule an in-person visit before the prescription will be renewed.
When did you last see your primary care provider?
Most physician offices require an in-person office visit at least once a year to maintain a provider/patient relationship.
If you have active asthma, respiratory problems, and problematic high-blood pressure, seeing your primary care physician for periodic wellness visits seems a reasonable request.
I hear you that you have had less then compassionate medical care. There is no excuse for that.
