I had my BS spinal simulator implanted about a year ago. Relief in my severe perifferal neuropathy, no relief from severe scoliosis. Long story short, required less-invasive back surgery to clear pathway for a couple of nerves. Still no relief. Last couple of months had radio frequency ablation on left side of lower lumbar region; a couple of weeks later, same procedure of right side. Considerable relief. Pain doc and I have narrowed the continued severe pain is coming from the battery pack, which was placed on my left buttock. I have said from day one, but orig pain doc or BS reps believed or listened, just kept reprograming the thing. Today I see my new pain doc, also installs BS equipment, about now relocating the battery pack. I was never asked my preference at original installation and said put it where you usually put it. Was the buttocks. It feels like I have an icepick into my lean butt cheek. Like it's on a big nerve. Have slept in my recliner for weeks where I could position the implant where back and seat separates. I would like to hear from others with more successful locations of their battery packs. Surgery due Jul 26, and discussion with doc begins today. Prompt responses would be greatly appreciated. I have regretted having the implant for the pain has overshadowed the relief I am surely getting.
