I had pretty successful trigger thumb release surgery two weeks ago, but am still experiencing tingling of the inside surface of my thumb. Dr said it might stick around "for awhile". An orthopedic surgeon friend told me that their rule of thumb is that nerve trauma from surgery will clear up in "3 days, or 3 weeks, or 3 months". I'm hoping I'm in the 3 week crowd, but will be happy if I can be assured that it will clear up sometime. My surgeon checked to make sure that my actual tactile feeling was still there and it was, so he didn't seem too worried about the tingling long term. Any wisdom out there?
