Whaat kind of neuropathy is it? Peripheral neuropathy, as in diabetes, starts with the peripheral nerves. I have another kind of neuropathy which feels just like that, the burning, pins and needles, but mine is from damage to my spinal cord in my neck. I've had nerve testing in the arms and legs, and they're just fine.
The others asked if you've asked your doctor. That's where to start. Nerve testing isn't fun, it hurts. But you can't treat something until you know what you're treating.
There's nothing much I can do except take narcotics and, more recently, benzodiazepines (Loratidine for now) for spasms. Other "nerve medicines" like neurontin and Lyrica don't work on my kind of "peripheral" neuropathy. Those medicines do seem to work on diabetic neuropathy in so me people.
I don't know if Lyme can come back with your symptoms, but it does come back with painful joints, heart and lung and liver problems. It can be treated again with doxycycline and other antibiotics. My son didn't treat his Lyme long enough and it came back a year later. He got better after treating with doxycycline, at least for now. It hides somewhere, much like polio. (I have post-polio.)
Best wishes.
