Ok. I am having a major panic attack. I can't get a refill on my pain medicine because the pharmacy claims it is too soon to refill. I am going to be out of this soon and I need it!
I suffer from chronic foot pain. I have surgery on both of my feet, it did not work. My pain seems to get worse if not controlled with medication. My foot doctor gave up on me, he said he had no idea. I begged him to refer me to a pain management doctor. My pain management doctor has no idea, he gave me Gabapentin which works wonders but I have also tried Tramadol, Hydrocodone, lidocane cream, and even physical therapy. NOTHING came close to working except Gabapentin. So I think its nerve damage. I went to a neurologist. First one said he had no idea, and just charged me for telling me he didn't know. Second person did a nerve conduction test which came back perfectly normal, only thing was my nerves were sensitive. I am out of ideas on who to go to next.
My psychiatrist has even tried giving me medication, we have tried Cymbalta, which has done nothing, and she just now tried Nalterxone because she read it can help with pain. She also gave me a vitamin to try which was for people with neuropothy or nerve pain. It did not help at all!!
So where do I turn to next?? My pain doctor did not want this to be a continuous thing, of course I don't either! But if I have to live with foot pain, then for the love of god give me a way to deal with it! Yes I hate how Gabapentin gives me brain fog, but I am learning to deal with it. Its much better than me being in so much pain, I can't walk.
HELP! What do I do? Who can I go to next??
I also had an MRI in my lower back to see if it was a pinched nerve. MRI came back showing arthritis but no pinched nerve. So that explains my back pain.
