Read in the paper that New York Doctors, writing in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, are praising an unconventional remedy for chrhnic diarrhoea. The researchers surmised that sufferers might lack certain predator bacteria in the colon, (killed off, perhaps, by antibiotics) and thus might benefit from an infusion of bacteria from a person with a normal amount of such predatory bacteria among their faecal flora. The therapy involves taking a "stool donation" from a healthy person, homogenising it in a blender and introducing it into the patient via a colonoscope.
Any takers, ? if so we want you all to form a nice orderly queue. I however will pass on this and will continue to take my probiotic.
