so this is my question........has anybody had problems with sore and inflammed kidneys?  I know that its not a stone......no blood and the pain is more uncomfy then omg.......i have to get my weekly imuran blood work done tomorrow and the doc is adding x-ray and urine test to that as well........the pain is left back and wrapping around to the front at times.....doesn't matter how i sit it does not go away....very sure its not back pain......a hot beanie bag on it helps ease the pain.........the reason i think its my kidneys is that when i do void it feels a bit better.....the meds im on right now is 9mg of entecort(3months)  and 100mg of imuran daily(1month) then fish oil, vit D, 1 tums a day for calcium(only thing i can handle) and an ounce of aloe vera juice a day....... i had a severe flare up on saturday and i have been tender since...but this started on monday and has gotten progessevly(sp) worse......if anybody has any ideas or experience that would be great........thank you very much yeah

My mother had pain like that just yesterday, except her pain was so bad she barely could walk. We took her to the ER and they couldn't find anything. Family doctor believes it to be a kidney stone that she passed while we were at the er before she took the CT scan. So i think you're right about it being something with your kidneys. Her pain was on the left side and wrapped around from front to back.

I have also noticed a darkish dishcharge in the undies as well, so possilby blood, not the period kind as i am on the depo shot and havn't had a period for years.....oh gosh i just don't know.........guess ill find out tomorrow at the test....or when the doc gets the results.......sigh.....

You could very well have a kidney infection or a UTI, which they should be able to tell with your urinalysis tomorrow. They will look for leukocytes (which would indicate an infection), blood, protein - none of which would necessarily be actually visible in your urine. The discharge you're experiencing could actually be "spotting" even if you are on Depo, so not necessarily from the urethra. A good way to tell if it's really the kidney is by having your doctor "percuss" the kidney with his fist. If there's an infection in there, you'll shoot through the roof with pain. Your spleen is also in that area and they need to check that for enlargement. Essentially you really just need a good physical exam if your urinalysis comes up negative. I would set up an appointment with your family doc...and in the meantime, keep that beanbag on it if it helps. I really hope you're feeling better in the morning and that this will be something easily treatable.
