Cost of RX, especially 6MP

I just picked up my 6MP prescription and it was $60!  For a one month supply!  Usually my co-pay is $10, the pharmacist said maybe my insurance changed it in January. They said to make sure my dr has let the insurance company know that I must take it, that not taking it isn't an option.  Does anyone else pay a high amount? 

If you will be on it for awhile you can probably get it cheaper mail order. My insurance only lets me get 3 months of maintenence meds at a regular copay and then if I don't go mail order it goes up to $70 or something. Call your insurance... that is probably why. If you do the mail order it will not only go back to the old copay but usually you get 3 months at a time and only pay the price of 2 normal pharmacy copays.

Is it possible you have a deductible you have to pay before you get the discounted rate? I have to pay full price at the beginning of the year up to $85 and then after that I get the discounted co-pay rate.
