Pernicious anemia question ( Bdub are you out there?)

I hope you don't mind my asking, ( Bdub ) I saw you post a reply in Crohn's forum for auto immune disorder question. I noticed you have pernicious anemia.  I am being tested for pernicious anemia.  How did you get it.  I have crohn's but not in my ileum.  I had H. Pylori probably all my life and was recently treated for it. I guess it can damage the cells in the stomach that produce the stuff you need so your ileum can absorb b12.  I have had symptoms for 2 years and didn't know what it might be.  I hope to find out soon.  I feel so sick all the time.  I don't have iron poor blood and it didn't show on a normal blood panel now the doc is checking my b12 level.  Is there any other thing that should be done?  I have most of the symptoms except for the most extreme (psychosis, heart failure) but I'm worried that the blood test won't show anything again. How hard is it to diagnose?  Any info from anyone would be helpful. Thank you.

They had a show on Mystery Diagnosis about this and the woman they featured had all the symptoms, including psychosis, *except* anemia. I forget all the tests they did on her. Since I have neuropathy of the legs which they blame on either my diabetes (very mild) or my plantar fasciitis and I was also treated for H. pylori in which they noted that the gastric mucosa looked atrophic, I plan to ask about this at my doctor's appt in march.
