I am just about
going nuts with this foot ailment. I see my NP in 2 weeks and will ask for a referral to the rheumatologist I saw several years ago. This is the final step, I've done everything else but get the $400 custom orthotics. I hope he will help, although not sure what that will be. In the past he pushed nonsteroidals, even though he suspected that IBD was the cause of my inflamed knee. I know nonsteroidals are out. He also mentioned methotrexate if I developed another joint problem. Not sure if this qualifies. I am currently taking lyrica. It helps with one very small aspect of the pain in my legs which I assume is also the plantar fasciitis. When I asked my gi NP about
this she said I would have to see a rheumatologist. I'm really confused about
who treats what. If its caused by IBD I would think that the gi doc would treat it but apparently not, at least not with this group
I researched this on the internet and read that plantar fasciitis and achilles tendonitis is very common with CD and not easily treated which was discouraging.
