Anyone have problems with going back and forth between D and constipation? I seem to oscillate between the two. Particularly right now I am a little stopped up. Maybe it's because I just started Humira. Anyone else have this problem and if so do laxatives work for you?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining that I'm not in the bathroom 20 times a day and dehydrated as usual, but a little balance would be nice.
Thanks,

Changes frequently for me...Sometimes I don't mind the Constipation, other than the pain and discomfort...
Many days I go from Constipation to D during the same "sitting"...fun stuff, this Crohn's.

I understand where you are coming from and I as well agree it would be nice to be in the middle sort to speak.I do not use laxitives because for one my GI said no no and if I need help I use enamas that helps most of the time.

I go back and forth and it drives me nuts! I use fiber daily (Metamucil) and Senokot when the C gets bad. I also use stool softener if I feel like I'm heading toward constipation. I keep changing my diet, but I haven't successfully figured out what works. Any ideas would be helpful to me too!

This is exactly what's happening for me now. And, when I finally get over the C and the D hits, that's what the vomting is the worst. It's like my whole body spasms. I never know what any day will bring, as all of us feel. So frustrating!

I go back and forth, always. When I feel constipation comming I get real anxious because I am afraid of an obstruction. I have been on my meds for 7 days now and have not noticed a change yet, other then the pain in my abd is gone and I can wear jeans again. Kay

I used to switch between C and D and finally what I did is take Miralax every day until I got it so it is more constant.... It took me about a month to find the right dose.
