First of all thanks for always being here when I need something.

 I have been having the big D and a crazy pain in my upper right side, about where the gallbladder would be......thats out now. It"s not always there, it kinda feels like pressure or like something growing is more like it......I know it sounds crazy. Well the doc did the scope thing and says he sees alittle something but that he can't see what he needs to see. So now I have to have a small bowel series test done. Does anyone know what he would be looking for or what this could be. Like I said the feeling is like a lump growing. Thanks all

 I am also wondering what a blockage would feel like?

Oh, goshes, since the pain is in the area of the now missing gall bladder maybe adhesions for the GB surgery causing the pain, maybe even some constriction of the small bowel in that area??

For me, a blockage caused NAUSEA, pain, and more NAUSEA, then vomiting, probably fever altho I never took my own temp and by the time the partial blockage became a full blockage I was so sick, nauseous and in pain who knows what my temp was by the time I got to ER?? I sure didn't and, frankly, didn't much care. By that time the vomit tasted and smelled like feces. Before that ER visit tho, before the blockage became a full blockage it was just the pain, nausea and "normal" vomiting and the vomiting brought relief. Not total relief but tolerable pain and nausea.

From what I understand, a small bowel follow-through looks for inflammation and narrowing. It gives the doctors a better idea about how much of your small intestine is affected since traditional scopes can't get in there.

I'm having a SBFT in two weeks.
