Tell the doctor prescibing the pred and remicade that you are being exposed. Follow universal precautions and use hand sanitizer. Put the stuff up your nose.
Your doctor may want to prescibe antibiotics as a preventitive.
I would be worried enough to immediately inform my doctor and follow their instructions (I would tell my rhuemy-but mostly cause my GP is worthless)

I have had the MRSA infection and the doctors said that being on remicade gave me more of a risk. Ihave had it a total of 4 x's since last may. So yes inform your doctor.

How did the poor little guy catch it? I really hope your doctor has an idea of how to keep you safe from it. How long does it take for him to not be contagious? Could you stay somewhere in the meantime or quarintine him into one room that you stay out of? If you could I would keep him in one room, have someone else disinfect your house, and anyone that goes in there should wear a mask and gloves when entering and take them off and throw them away before opening the door to leave, then wash hands and use sanitzer once out. Yikes. At least he is young enough that he shouldn't need to much space!
