Hello,

I am "busybee69 and I am a 38 year old ladie,

This is my first time on "Healing Well".

 I had a (total colectomy) on 2-12-08.

I would like to chat with someone who has had this d one, or know someone else who had it.

I thought by now I would feel much better, but I don't. I have been doing to much around the house: like picking up boxes that may  be to heavy, I reach up and I feel something pull. 

If you know what I am going through or have any advise I could use it. The pain right now is about an 8 if it's (1-10 and ten being the worst. I am debating if I need to go the hospital or not. I don't want there to be something wrong.

Hello busybee, and welcome to HW.

We do have people on the Crohn's forum who've had a colectomy, but you might like to pop over to the ostomies forum and chat to the people there. I've always found them very kind, helpful and supportive, and I'm sure they'd be happy to advise you on the problems you're experiencing. This is the forum's URL:

I didn't see anything for the total coletomy. How do I post what you got to the other forum?

At the top of the page is a "Forum Quick Jump" the ostomy forum is listed near the very bottom, click it and it'll take you there.

Feel better soon, I can't imagine how difficult this time must be for you right now... (((((((HUGS)))))).
