Hi Everyone,
Well 8 days after my surgery I had all 24 staples removed and this has been my best day since surgery.I am still sore but it only hurts when I get up and down,amazed how mobile I am,have been driving for the last couple of days.Not too bad for a 60 year old.Thanks again to everyone for the cheering words.

Hi Michael, It is such a relief to get the staples out. It sounds like you are doing ok. But do give it all time to heal before you go climbing Mt. Everest. Take Care.

Glad to hear everything is going well. But just like Pommom said don't get too crazy yet, and recover well.

Wow, Michael you amazed me with your first post after your surgery!! I had no idea you are 60. That blew my mind.
I'm 56 so not far behind, but still very impressed. I cant' believe you're driving, after only 8 days. Take it easy though,
us old crohnies should take it slower LOL

Hey Michael,

Whoooo Hooooooo the staples are gone.  I agree with the others, pace yourself and don't paint the house.
My hubby was bored recuperating and decided to paint the house after his first surgery.  He was a young pup then.  He felll off the ladder and I nearly had a stroke.

He was alright and did not bust open anything but he was a bit sore.

My son's name is Michael too.................I love the name.  I also have a son I named Todd Michael.  Michael like the archangel.  :-)

Glad to hear you doing well so soon. I had my staples removed last Thurs. I'm not quite as ready to get back to any major activity. Still having quite a bit of pain. But am getting better every day.

By the way, I'm gonna be 62 this month. I did find this surgery more difficult than my last one, which was 18 years ago.

Hope you continue to improve each day.

Yes, take it easy. So good that you are doing well. My daughters boyfriend is Michael, very nice young man. Please don't try to paint your house. LOL
