What's your clue?

What's your clue that you're really feeling bad?

Personally, I know I must really be feeling bad when I start fantasizing about how comfortable hospital beds are and how enticing the thought of "bowel rest" sounds. They hook you up to an IV, throw you some chicken broth and you don't have to eat! Sounds fab to me right now.

Hi I am thinking you"re reading my mind from when I was bad and the hospital was certainly about the only choice I had after a week I get a little tired of it all though.By reading your post it sounds like your not doing so good. I usually headed for emerg. when it started to be a G.. night and didn't know what to do anymore A person can be a hard nut to crack sometimes. lol gail

When everything hurts and I can't figure out if I should lay down or stay sitting up or even standing. Then it's time to head to the E.R. and go to la-la land for a while.

I know its getting really bad when I can't remember my name anymore. When I don't have the strength to think let alone answer a simple question...I know its time to head to the hospital.

I feel for all of you because that's exactly where I am right now. I don't tell my BF though because he just seems to worry all that much more. I just grin and bear and take lots of hot baths to soothe my tummy. I hate going to the emerg because I feel like the doctors are wondering why i was going in so many times, kind of like a person who wants attention for every little problem they have, but I actually do have all the problems I go in for. It was to the point where I was going in once or twice a month. For UTI's and other severe problems that arose. I also feel bad for asking for pain relief because I feel like I'm weak and can't handle the pain because it probably isn't as bad as I think it is. I always wonder if it's all in my head. It's been quite awhile since I went into emerg. I like to stay away from it unless absolutley necessary. The last time I went was this last January for blood clots when I was pregnant. I ended up staying 4 days. I didn't realize how bad it was until they let me go home with a prescription of needles twice a day for 6 weeks. It would have cost me around 4 grand if the government wouldn't have kicked in.
