Crohn's Girl said...
Oh my gosh, this is unbelievable...I joined this forum right before you posted this because I am having many of the same problems and was getting ready to post this topic myself!!! I am literally crying reading your posting because now that I see someone else is having similar issues, I don't feel like I am crazy. I had my second resection on Valentine's Day (first was in 2000) and I am still in pain. Mine is not a crampy pain. It is more of a constant burning pain about 1" from my belly button. The most positive thing that has happened since surgery is that I have not really had any problems with foods that bothered me before surgery, but I am still having 4 - 6 completely liquid bowel movements a day. I have developed a fistula, which I haven't had to deal with for 15 years (3 years before I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease). For the past month or so, I have also had problems with joint pain in my knees, elbows, wrists, and fingers. After surgery I lost about 10 pounds (probably about 40 pounds total including what I lost before surgery). I gained 5 back, then lost it again, and have started gaining again within the past week. I am still taking pain meds, about 1 - 2 a day, and I am really tired of the constant pain. My surgeon ordered a CT, but didn't see anything that is surgical so he is turning me back over to my GI to figure out what is going on. I see my GI later this week and can't wait!
With all that said, I feel your pain . I don't think I would wait until August. Seems like a long time to go when you're in pain.
Let me know if you find out anything and I'll do the same.
Make you a deal we are both new so lets keep in touch and maybe between us we may figure this out.
