Before starting Remicade, make sure that you know about this drug and what can possible happen to you. Also while on Remicade, make sure that you continue to follow through with your GI and doc regularly.
I am not posting to stop every one from taking Remicade but to say that I am one of the unlucky ones that has ended up with complications due to this drug. I just learnt that I have stage one lymphoma's. So you could say that I am kind of angry. The results of my last gastroscopy, colonoscopy and barium follow through were never forwarded to my new GI.
The only reason he now knows is because I have been slotted for a stem cell transplant and I needed to get all of my tests that had been completed since I contacted the university doing the study. If I hadn't of had to do this I may have been placed on Remicade which could have created even more complications for me.
