Yesterday I had my 3rd Remicade infusion.  Talking with my doc afterward, he said I could stop taking the Azathoprine!! YEAH!! Two less pills to take and now more blood work.  I've been feeling soooo good!  The best in 5 months. 

Thanks to all of you for your support!  It's such a relief to find others who I can relate with!

Great news! Howcome you are going off of the Imuran? Are you not reacting well to it?

For some reason I wasn't responding to the Imuran and that's why I started Remicade.

Does the Remicade help with the fatigue? I'm currently on azathioprine, and although the fatigue is from my Crohn's, I'm wondering if you noticed that Remicade has helped with your fatigue? I'm willing to suggest anything to my GI to alleviate this constant dragging!

Yes, Remicade has helped with my fatigue.  And, I'm also taking iron supplements.  I still get tired, but it's not every stinking day that I'm dragging.

I stopped my imuran last Nov. after being on it for 3 years. It was starting to mess with my liver, so I didn't have a choice. I am still on remicade and have been since I started the imuran. I agree that I feel so much better being off of the imuran also.

gachrons, did the Imuran affect your liver as well? Seems to happen alot :(

Hi Mike W No it did not effect my liver. I got a rash I was not on it very long a month but did try it last year for awhile too. lol gail
