Does anybody get a severe headache with a flare up? Two nights ago I had severe cramps in my stomach just like I had when I had to have emergency surgery, now light cramps with a severe headache. I just don't feel good, any advice?

I just a had a virus recently that started with a really bad headache and a sick sick stomach that lasted a few days. So it is possible it could be a virus. If you still can't get the headache under control I would call your doc. Good luck!

The past couple flares I have gotten has also been accompanied with with a headache. This is new for me as I have never had this problem before. The headaches just started and definitely bite! I hope you (and I) feel better soon.

I have migraine, and that always seem to increase in the amount and duration when my disease is bad....

me too. Migraine so bad since last night. And my D that had been pebbles is now all liquid. Cramping back too. Don't know if the migraine is from dehydration or just the disease. But it won't go away. Tried ice. Caffeine made it worse. sigh. . . . Good luck getting rid of your headache.

Not sure if the headaches everyone is experiencing as a result of Crohn's have the same mechanics/cause as that of Migrains but I believe this product is definately worth a try:

I have migraines as well. Migraines are a systemic event...its not just in your head. I've always had nausea, vomiting and D with the headaches so don't know if the CD is causing the migraine or the migraine is worsening the CD.?
Good luck dear one.... migraines are awful...mine always last for days also...the only remedy for it was a trip to the ER for a shot of Demerol and Gravol....then sleep.

I cannot kick my headache. Nothing has helped. After my old prescription--Tried ensure, B vitamins, herbal sleep supplement, powerade. I have the worse charlie horses too. Feels very crohn's induced b/c of the D. Feel so horrible and have big weekend planned. Any advice?

is anyone able to tolerate excedrin or any of the OTC migraine pills? I know they have a little aspirin I usually avoid but maybe one time?

I never had Migranes before being dx with Crohn's Disease, and I have had some MAJOR ones. Just another lovely side effect i presume!!
