I try to keep track of the times I do things that I would normally run away from, and do them without incident. The last one I posted about
was when I had to travel a couple hours each way with my boss. Well today I got sworn in as a student attorney by a justice from our state's supreme court. I had to be there at 7:55am. EEK. So I got up, pooped, poped two immodium and then a xanax. I had to poop once more before it started but made it through without my anxiety getting out of control.
So, I was rx'd xanax for a severe flare of flying and have 10 or so pills left over. I have been taking one or two on the rare occassion where I know I usually would feel panicky and have extra d. Since I have been doing that, I have been controlling my D a lot better in those situations where it comes on because of my lack of bathroom access.
I realize that those pills I have left will only last so long and I will need to call my doc, tell her how I have been taken them, and ask if I could get a refill. I haven't really been taking it more than 3 times per month. I get a super racing heart from caffeine and if I have some accidently I will take a xanax to counter act it. Again, this is my own prescribing from my fear of flying stash.
So, have your docs been good about giving a xanax script for such occassions? I really don't want to be put on an anti depressant or anything like that because I only need it on such rare occassions.
But as a student attorney I will have court appearances this semester and would like to take a low dose before them. My dose is only .25 so not enough to make me loopy or anything.
My only concern was that when I got this for flying my doc made sure I wasn't driving at all that day. But I feel like I can take such a low dose and drive fine, or just take it when I get there.
Others?
Oh my other success of the day. I had an hour and a half meeting in a super crowded room where I ended up in the back with my exit blocked. I had to get up once and have everyone let me out but I didn't let it bother me at all!
