Mouth Pain - Like U Ate Hot Food

about two weeks ago got this odd feeling on the roof of my mouth. Just ignored it. As the days have gone by has gotten really really red and inflamed! It's like I took a bite of major hot food & burned the roof of my mouth, which I have Not done. Know my tongue is beginning to feel like this. I did start Humira a month & a half ago and don't know if the two are related. But it's just not getting any better. Anybody experienced this? It's just a little worrisom cause never had anything like this before.

H i Beachie, I get this with flares too. You can actually get some pretty wicked mouth sores too. I thankful I don't experience those. Blessings!

yes always said plus, b12 deficiency can be painfull for the tongue and mouth

I have definetly been having a flare. Is there any type of topical treatment to do for this you could suggest. It is really unconfortable for sure. I just went to have my blood work checked yesterday so will see were that stands in a few days.

Ohh boy, that was so painful and uncomfortable. I had that and went to the doctor. He gave me some antibiotics and it cleared up within 3 days. I suggest you get to a doctor fast because it will spread even more.

Olive J, Oh no. Thankfully I do have a GI & GP doc's Tues. Thanks for that. I have notive that the pain & soarness is spreading to my tongue and down the back of my throat. I just of course have tried to ignore it. But it definetly isn't goin anywere.

I had that, wasn't in a flare really, but apparently the disease became active again. It was probably right around then that things started going bad, and I've got the swollen gums now too. Mine went away after about a week, but I was only eating things I didn't really have to chew much or wouldn't scrape my mouth, like pasta and mashed potatos.

Go and see a doctor, it believe, you can’t win with a diet, you need some meds. Just my opinion.

Hi Beachie,  I also have major burning mouth...I went to ENT specialist and fortunately he was very understanding, he has some family members with CD so guessed straight away that I was on Remicade!  apparently Sinusitis and Stomatitis can come hand in hand with Remicade infusions. I got a great prescription of "magic mouthwash"  which helps greatly...and have found the Neti Pot very helpful for the Sinusitis. I find now that I am getting chesty coughs which is worrying....don't want to go off Remicade, but how long do you put up with it? Hope this helps you somewhat xxxxx
