Stomach flu or Chrons?

Since May I have had a stomach flu bug 3 times. The first 2 times they lasted for about 24 hours and were over. On wed night I started with severe stomach pains, and throwing up at night and into thurs morning. I only drank water and then friday had toast and some noodles. That gave me diarrhea. I took Immodium which stopped it and now the first thing this morning I had Diarrhea again. Stomach pain which has been my main symptom of Crohns flares is gone since thursday.  Is this still a flu? My work did tell me 3 others were out of work d/t sotmach flut his week also. I see my GI on thursday for a regualr checkup.. any thoughts? thanks

Hard to say, but for a few years I was getting it 2-3 times a year. It was AWFUL, and I always ended up in the ER getting fluids and anti-vomitting meds. They would also run a ct-scan, because I too never knew if it was Crohn's or a bug. I honestly still really don't know. But I think it may have been stomach bugs, my son's old public school had it going around constantly it seemed. Now that we homeschool, no more stomach bugs! *knocking on wood* that I don't get it again like that this year, it was just awful.
