Does anyone notice that you flare at the change of the seasons?  Seems that my daughter does. Just wondering.  Oh and the other thing, how many have numbness or tingling in the hands and arms?

I do notice a change in symptoms with the weather. Not so much from winter to spring or summer to fall, but when the extremes hit. If I get too hot or too cold, I definately notice an increase in symptoms. I also do notice some tingling, but I have not been able to attribute it to anything yet.

September, December, and June, I always seem to flare at those times, odd. Numbness and tingling down the back of my neck and arms occasionally.

No change for me...mind you I have been in a constant flare to some degree my entire 17 yrs of having CD.

July through September are the worst for me. But I've seem to have survived it this year. So far. Quick! Someone knock on wood for me!

My main symptom now is joint pain, and that is made worse by bad weather. So I have become my mother. I can tell you days in advance of any storm or change of weather pattern. We are getting the remains of Ike (at least I think its Ike, I haven't been listening to the news lately) today and boy am I achy. I'm not looking forward to the winter. It was bad last year and I'm sure another year older won't make it any easier.

Since developing arthritis, I thought the winter was the worst, but I think I'm in a flare now and, now that I look back to the other flares I've had, they've all been in August/September.

I like Zanne suffer with more joint issues than anything else these days. And I would have to agree also that I am like a barometer, I know when a storm is coming sooner than everyone else because my body hurts something fierce. *Zanne I guess we are twins afterall*:)

I have had mild arthritis for years but since being diagnosed with CD I am experiencing more discomfort.  I, like Zanne, have noticed a big difference since Hanna and now Ike.  I used to just have stiffness in my fingers and toes but now it's everywhere.  We could probably predict the weather better than the weather people on TV! LOL!!

Spring into Summer and Summer into Fall is worst for me.  This is true for my mom too who has CD.

As for the tingling & numbness - Is she on Flagyl?  It can cause nubness and should be stopped if this occurs.  I would ask the doc about it.

Sorry to hear about your daughter.

Tingling in my hands and feet alerted my doctor to my vitamin B12 deficiency.  After an intense treat for a week, I now have a shot once a month.

The thing that bothers me the most is when the weather people show you what the aches and pains index is for the day/week and they tell you it's low but you hurt so bad due to the weather.  It's obvious that the people who come up with the index do not suffer from arthritis!
