Does Crohns even cause pain????????

Are all you diagnosed with Crohns mad at  the thought???????

One more question is it true that if you have had most of your intestines taken out due to Crohns-You just MIGHT NOT absurb the full pain pill???????????????

It only makes sense.

Bible, that is not even funny, I do not have crohns right now, but am in the process of being diagnosed with something, and i am in a hell of a lot of pain, so for you to ask does crohns even cause pain? YES!!!! it does, maybe you should read it up on it, before you go asking questions like that,

Crohns' certainly causes pain. Intense, unrelenting, horrible, almost unbearable pain. I am not mad at the thought. If it's God's will that I be sick, I will accept it with grace and do the best I can with it. Do I get angry or frustrated when I hurt, or when I must be cut open yet again? Yup!

Yes. If you have lost bowel you do not absorb things well. I, for one, cannot take any time released meds because they end up in the toilet.

Yes it causes pain, from mild cramping to extremely intense knife in you gut hunched over pain. I was extremely pissed when I discovered I had crohns. This was my sisters disease, I was not supposed to have it too. They I took a look around me and realized that accepting it and dealing with it is better than being mad. And yes, the less intensine you have the less you absorb. Do you have Crohn's or are you just curious?

For those of you that might have gotten upset- Yes- I DO HAVE CROHNS. I have had crohns since I was 15 years old and now I am 35. So believe you me I sure am very aware of the pain caused by crohns and numerous kidney stone attacks, lithotrypsy ,stints,emergency surgerY to remove my intestines AND MORE- I know the pain. However, the issue is that some of you may be fortunate enough to have something prescribed for pain. My gastro and more than one Doc. has said you have it you need to learn to live with the pain. Maybe the ones of you that go t so upset have not been deprived of something that helps with the pain. You may have the same frustrated feelings that I have. You may wonder if it's just in your head that you live with pain b/c I haven't found the Doctor that knows this . I'm glad all of you agree with me that it does cause pain.

Everyone feels pain from Crohn's...Pain medication only goes so far for anyone unfortunately. Then there is the issue of the horrible things too much pain medication will do.
I'm sorry you're frustrated...I know that it is extremely frustrating no matter what. Even on good days it seems.
I can't say too much since I've had this for a relatively short time, but it doesn't decrease the understanding that's for sure. This disease took so much of my life away and it took away so many futures. I'm afraid sometimes, but I think I'd rather remember the good things and remember 'zen.' An effective mantra for me anyway.
Things will improve regardless..I have to believe that.

Bible, I know what you were trying to do..... justifying your own thoughts, and the lack of help that you've been given. I know
that many times in the past we have tried to guide you to the people to help you, ie; your PCP or pain management clinics.
Have you not tried these avenues, if you did what was the outcome?
I only wish you had worded your post a little differently, you may have gotten a better response....
