Hi all.... and some suggestions please

Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum, but not unfortunately to Crohn's....
Ive been diagnosed with CD for 4 yrs now, and I've been very lucky to have been in remission for the past 18 months after a resection.
I've had a flare up for the last few weeks and have decided to 'brush up' on everything...

I would like some help though. I'm going on a day trip with uni this Sunday and I'm a bit worried about toilet stops... I'm going to drive my car so I have a bit more mobility when it comes to finding a loo- only half the stops have them. I also have explained to my very understanding lecturer that I may need to leave the group suddenly to find a bathroom.

Has anyone got any other ideas/suggestions to try and make this a trouble free day?
Anything I can bring along/take etc? I mean, a portapotty wont fit in my car, its only a 3 cylinder... :)

immodium is a great idea and taking it before you get in the car will help ease your nerves right away.

Water bottle and snacks are a must for me. I often need to be hydrated and fed much more often than others--or normal folks--on these things.

Most important try to relax and not worry about it. I know that is easier said than done but if you are prepared with some Imodium, wipes and a list of bathroom locations you will be ok. When I get really stressed I usually have to go potty right after or during the stressful event.... Karen

SInce you're bringing your own car, I'd bring an extra set of clothes "just in case", just knowing they are there can help ease your mind. I also would try immodium beforehand. Good luck and let us know how it went!
