Hello New 2 Here but Yall are more help than Drs.

I have been diagnosed with crohn's since 1998. 5 years ago a different GI dr said i had IBS not crohn's. Of course, after I cussed him out and told him i had crohn's longer than he had been studing it. I said i need to find a way to Just deal with it. I haven't seen a GI dr in 4 1/2 years. Now I am 195 lbs. I have always been under 150. I having alot of problems: i look like i'm 7 months pregnant. I have a 6 year old daughter who is the greatest. She told my mamaw yesterday that she was tired of mom always being sick!! That was 2 sad for me. That's all she's ever known is me sick. When she was 3, she would hold my hair when i was throwing up and get me a cool towel. Now, she wants to go and do and all i can do is sit on the toliet or stand over it. I'm feeling worse than I ever have. No, no, no energy; anxiety thru the roof and belly just sucks. :(  My daughter Jayla is taking senokot every other day cuz she is constipated really bad I just know she going to have something like me and THAT'S MY BIGGEST FEAR!! So, I just had the CT scan of my stomach on the 12th I'm having a colonoscopy and you know just down hill from there. I really want him to find something so they can fix it. My crohn's has been uncontrolled for years and i'm on disability for 5 years. Something has to change!! im losing my mind, now. Any input. Yall are more help than doctors. THey suck! I dont take any meds for crohn's side effects so bad i'd rather deal with symtoms. Meds for the pain and anxiety and acid reflux that's it! Oh lets not forget anti-depressant that's not working. I just need advice how do you deal with crohn's and IBS???

Hi Welcome to Healing Well and glad you joined us. Does your daughter drink lots of fluids sometimes it's a matter of adding a banana or something that helps get the BM's going. Glad to see your getting some testing done for your crohn's .One thing I found to help with IBS was to go to the bathroom as soon as I felt I needed to have a BM. My problems have been better but it did take 2 surgeries and some meds to get me to where I'am at now and some diet changes. Keep in touch and let us know how things are going. lol gail

Thank everyone so much!! It is much easier to talk with pep that know what it feels like and what I'm going through. Looking at pep with these diseases is you cant look at me and tell I'm even sick so lot's of pep think it's just in your head and i keep telling them NO IT'S IN MY BELLY!! My daughter is add/adhd so she's on meds. Hopefully, that's why she constipated It's devastating to think i could of giving her these problems. I wouldn't wish crohn's or IBS on my worst enermy. When you're down--- You're down. And my body is just down feeling. But thank you to everyone who has helped

My problem is I'm now allergic to EVERYTHING 3 rounds of Remicade and I broke out in hives and bad allergic reaction. Pep without these problems have no clue of what we go through on a hourly basis. or our families. Good luck with the Remicade but if you start to break out in hives--- Get off!!

Welcome! A little bit into my diagnosis when meds starting helping my kids were starting to sit on my lap and one asked if he was hurting my tummy. then i realized how many times I made them get off my lap cause it just hurt too bad. Now I am more under control and they can cuddle with me more. it will get better. I did not realize how much my disease had an effect on them until that moment. There were many times I asked one to run upstairs and get my shoes cause I was so nauseous I could not stand the thought of climbing stairs again. I hope you get some relief soon... just treasure the good days. I know I have learned to! Karen
