Hi, I am post-op for 2 months and was wondering if its normal for the skin around the incision to be numb.
Thanks in advance for replies

I had a resection Sept 07 and did'nt really notice that the incision site was numb. I had a skin cancer removed, 4 weeks ago, from my face , on my jaw line, with the scar running from my bottom lip to half way down my neck and I find it is still numb. I wonder if and when we will get the feeling back. Keep us posted.

I have a few scars that have lost the numbness and some from years ago that have not and never will. It depends on how much nerve damage is done when they cut I guess. SydneyJo I had one removed from my cheek and they pulled the sides together and sewed them up. Now when I run my finger down that side it feels like a part is missing. Like my finger jumps over the part I expect to feel. I dont think that will ever be as it was either.
