right now I'm leaning toward that I'm dehydrated enough that I might need fluids at the hospital. the bad news is that if the hospital doesn't consider it an emergency the INS with not cover any of it.

anyone know if I have other options, I broke as can be right now (vacation pay was not put in like it was supposed to) and couldn't come close to to covering it myself.

I hate to say it, but if you are thinking that you need hydration, you probably do. If you get to the Emergency room and they don't think its an emergency, can you try to talk them into it. I know there have been times when admitting me to the hospital has been questionable and I could have talked my way into or out of it, so may be you could try to explain the situation. Also, try crying. I have been told it does wonders in the emergency room. I haven't tried it yet, but who knows....

In the meantime, if you want to try to avoid going, try drinking small amounts, but frequently. Don't worry about food, just keep up the liquids. Are you vomiting, having lots of D, those will dehydrate you very quickly and sometimes you won't really know. Just make sure you are drinking and if you live alone, make sure that someone is checking on you.

lots of D lately, i have been drinking lots of gatoraid, well for me.

up to about 3-4 32 oz a day. sadly I normally don't drink as much as i should.

as for the cry, i may be able to force myself. even when i was first DX and had a major blockage and severe cramps i still wasn't to that point.

Is your heart rate up? They tell me in ER that that's one of the signs of dehydration.

the other day I tested at work, 106 hr and something like 90 over 49. but i did not sit at rest for awhile as suggested either. I also don't feel light headed like i did that day.

Besides water, drink pedialyte (avoid gatoraid, too much junk and sugar in it).
