Ive been on remicade for a year now. I still flare up even with my remicade doubled. I usually flare 3 weeks after IV. They just put me back on steroids, which aren't working, and also want me to get on Cimzia now. I have mouth sours back, blood, pain yadda yadda. and NOW I have a lump in my throat.

Has anyone had better success with Cimzia over Remicade?

I was on Remicade for 3 years which helped me but was just switched to Cimzia in September. The Remicade IV's were becoming major problems as I have no veins.. Anyway I have had one sinus infection with the Cimzia, no appetite, strong fatigue but no other problems. I hope the fatigue will ease up as my body adjusts too it. I dont have any abdominal pain or other problems like diarrhea. I actually have had a little mild constipation on it. Other than that I hope it will work. One good thing is the first 3 doses are free and then they have a co-pay assist program call Cimplicity which helps alot with cost and so on. Good luck.

J-Man, I did a clinical trial for Cimzia after losing response and having to stop Remicade due to allergic reactions.  Cimzia was definitely much better for me than Remicade, but it still didn't help enough with the joint pain (but way more than Remicade did) so now I am on Humira (but considering switching back to Cimzia).  All have put/kept my gut in remission, just having problems with arthritis and acid reflux.
