Does anyone here get painful bumps on their scalp?  I know this sounds gross, but I will get bumps on my scalp that hurt.  I don't think it is acne...could it be part of the disease?

I have gotten acne like bumps on my head. Found out is was caused by some name brand shampoo I was using. I think it was a Paul Mitchell brand if I remember correctly.

Hey, indigo!! Very interesting that you started this post..........I have been bothered for months now it seems with a sore red scalp.

I don't have bumps, just slightly red on the top of my head, feels like a mild sunburn. I have changed shampoos etc and am waiting to see if that makes a difference. I was also wondering if this has anything to do with crohn's. It will be interesting to see what responses come with this post!

Yes - this happened to me twice. Went w/reaction to medication. The last was Remicade
and the first one was I think Pentasa. Tiny little bumps that you think are pimples but when touch them they
really hurt bad. It went along with some hair loss. Worth to check out. I know not using heavy conditioner helped.

Search: Erythema Nodosum. It s a common skin abnormality in people w/IBD.
