I've noticed that for the past year or two I've had problems with my bladder. I find that I drip a little bit of urine every couple of hours.. like I'm incontinent or something. I have to wear panty liners to absorb it. Its not a huge amount. Just not sure if this is something Crohn's related or not?

Also, I seem to have alot of itching in that area as well. I go to the bathroom alot, and I try to keep it as clean as possible. My bottom always itches and is in alot of pain. I use cortisone cream, but I'm sick of this happening. Is there anything I can do differently to relieve this discomfort?

You're awfully young to have bladder issues, have you talked to your doctor about these issues (the itching and pain in your bottom as well)?

It might be that you have UTI I have had the same thing happening to me for a couple of months went to the doc and they put me on meds for a couple of days still waiting to see if they really worked or not but you might want to check. I am told it is really common for people with Crohns.

Hi Heather, I am sorry to hear about that, no fun at all! I had been experiencing the same problems as well, it was as far as being totally incontinent... happened right in the middle of class and at work. UTI test was clean and they didn't know what it was. But I agree with you and the others, it is not normal and embarrassing and should be a reason for it happening. People in their 20s (i am 26) just don't lose control of their bladder for no reason. I hope you hear back from the doc and hopefully it is something easy to deal with. My symptoms presented just like a UTI with the burning and itching but then the tests come out clean. Someone else with these same issues suggested IC (Interstitial Cystitis) and that it can be connected to Crohn's.. You might want to check that out and see if that could be the problem. The doc had put me on antibiotics and another med for UTI and it seemed to give me some relief. Good luck with it and I hope you can get it figured out!
