Hello all! My son is 13 and was diagnosed with crohn's in Sept 07. He has been weaning off of Pentasa and takes Boswellia as well as several vitamins/supplements. We also have taken gluten and most dairy out of his diet. He seems to be thriving which is very good news.
One small, okay two small problems... he has two smallish patches of red/purply rash, one on each of his outer thighs. They have been there for about 3 months. Not itchy, one is slightly raised, and a little scaly when you scratch it. The other one is completely flat, but it has grown a little bit. It was the size of a quarter, and now is the size of a loonie (Canadian eh!, for you south of me, a prune size sort of). They seem to have defined boundaries and are not exactly round, more rectangularish in shape. Not painful, just bothersome.
We have tried oil of oregano, hydracortisone and are now trying tea tree oil.
Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid of them? We go see the naturopath next week, and I will definitely be asking her what to do.
