I'm currently annoyed by poorly designed tamper-proof seals. Why can't the manufacturer of Boost put a little tab on that foil seal so I don't have to use my teeth to open it? Similar thing for my off-brand pedialyte. It had an outer and inner seal and neither had perforations to help.

Hi I am new to this forum. I am 33 and been diagnosed since 1992. No surgeries yet. I am happy to have found this forum (after almost 17 years of doing it alone and tired of it!) My biggest pet-peeve is the general population's lack of knowlege about the disease. I wish Crohn's could be more in the spot-light like other chronic diseases.

Seriously, why is pedialyte child proof anyway? Is the kid going to get too hydrated? Weird.

The only reason I can see for the peels on certain drinks is that there are so many people who tamper before you buy...I'd rather have to poke it with a knife than wonder if someone has put something harmful in it :(
Pet peeves though..hm...I've been thinking about those a lot for someone reason but not too many are Crohn's related i.e. campus pedestrians, left turns while driving, men thinking they don't need to use toilet paper when they urinate(sorry if that's too much but it makes me MAD). I guess the fatigue would be what bothers me most. And the inability to plan too far ahead because you're not sure if you'll be physically up to the plans you made.
AH, and the inability to concentrate sometimes!

dirty public toilet seats, no TP on the roll, people that don't flush, annoying kids that insist on slamming all the public bathroom door when you're in there trying to "go" and about a million more things.

Okay, actually pb4 did mention a genuine Crohn's related pet peeve. I HATE when there is no toilet paper!!!

When the dog wants to go out about 15 times on the coldest days of winter or when I am on my way to the bathroom. Got him off human food now but he is always running to the microwave now and barking ,that's where his treats are and the more you give him the more he wants. As for toiletpaper LMills I always carrying some in my purse so I never get somewhere without a roll .Has saved me a few times.lol gail

The boost seal never bothered me, but now it does. I've always used my teeth and never thought twice about it. Now I will. LOL

My CD pet peeve is: all the stuff I have to travel with. Meds, wipes, butt lotion, etc.

My pet peeves would be having to always make sure I have everything I need everytime I leave the house. Others might be, no toilet paper, people just hanging out in the bathroom when I desparately need to go (can't stand others in the br when I go). All the meds we have to take, and all the gross up your butt tests we have to do:) Not being able to eat whatever I want is a biggie too.

When I need to desperately use the toilet in a public place (such as a restaurant), and somebody is hogging the one toilet stall. People have died for less.

Or even worse, a public restaurant, supermarket, etc, where toilets are for "employees only."

Ozone - anytime I am stuck waiting to use the bathroom I always wonder if there is an IBD'r inside lol. Whenever my wait is longer than 5 minutes I think "oh, that's not normal, it is going to be stinky in there" lol.  I should be the one doing the stinkin not smelling the stinken.

LOL Fitzy!!! That's right, who the heck do the healthy people think they are stinkin up the bathroom, that's one good thing we have about having Crohns, we can stink everybody out:)

LOL...no kidding about the smell. Mine would be related to the medical community. The "Oh its a Crohns related problem" look on a dr's face.

Only 3 flavors of boost.

Boost costs WAY too much, SERIOUSLY!

GIs treating you like drug addicts for taking 4 pain pills a day

My husband pissing on the seat...seriously, I sit on that thing a LOT! (he raises the lid, but still, it's GROSS!)

The general populations lack of understanding of this disease (and therefore their lack of understanding of why I am tardy and off work so much - like I WANT to be this way!)

Toilet paper ON the toilet paper holder an tissue ALWAYS available for back-up... is it REALLY that hard? LOL!

Restaurants not always having a CD friendly menu...I hate being limited to like 2 items everywhere I go!

The pharmacists inability to answer my medication related questions. Like, the max dose of this and that. I get too detailed on questions and mixing certain drugs....

Why is it okay that they CONTROL your pain in the hospital, but once you are released and you ask for pain medicine, you might as well be a drug addict?

Man, I'm starting to sound crabby! ;) LOL! I'm going to stop now!

The fact that I can't get a systemic CD med (Humira) without going into another major flare. I have CD from my former TI up through my throat and other than prednisone nothing helps my stomach and throat. I had NO throat issues on Remicade which I had to stop due to antibodies.
