sharp pain under left ribs?

This appeared this morning right before a bm, but it's still here. It hurts worse when I move (stan up after bending down, etc.). Any ideas?

I'm in a mild flare and seeing the gi thursday.

Could it possibly be a gas bubble? Generally anything in the left side is usually stomach problems or gas pains in the left side of the colon. Not sure where yours Crohns is located so it could possibly be that too. Maybe try some GasX or tums and see if that relieves it. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks Gail. My CD is in the TI, so it shouldn't be that, but I never know anymore. Hopefully just a bubble. I am getting frustrated by having a new pain each day, but at least things have been relatively mild so far. Hoping my GI will come up with a return to remission plan on Thursday.

All my pain is left sided and I often get the pain you mentioned, without warning and it seems to recede when it wants to. If it gets really bad I take a Tylenol and that does the trick.

I get this too. My GI told me he didn't have a clue what it could be, so it must be that I am "over weight" and my muscles are pulling on my left side.
My Crohn's is in my ileum.
I dismissed his guess, because it was obviously a guess. Tums, Rolaids, Gas X, Prilosec, Beano, Malox, Nothing seemed to help my pains until they subsided as quickly as they came. I will have to try Tylenol next time.
