Hi It has been a year today since my resection surgery. A year without pain and a different me. I have gained weight ( too much) and have been feeing better .Have enjoyed being able to eat again without any pain and am hoping that things will stay good. it feels good to have had that time ,to get a rest from some of the symnptoms of crohn's.

Sometimes when things are at there worst life just improves and things get better

Glad to hear your better, my wife is going for a resection feb.6, she believes she will be up and running in no time but it has been very difficult dealling with her mentally, and not eatting she has lost 40lbs which has greatly affected her because she is afraid to gain weight now

Hi Thank You for your encouraging words they are appreciated .Being malnourished is hard on a person and does effect the mental outlook and I am sure when she is able to eat and not have the pain she will feel better. Do you know what part is being removed? Best of luck to you both. So glad you are looking for some help and I am sure it will help your wife. lol gail

Glad you have gotten relief from your resection Gail. I had mine Sept 07 and I can honestly say all it did was take the pain of eating away and that I am forever grateful for.
Hope you get many more years of remission.

Glad to hear you are doing well Gail. It feels good to kinda of forget about this disease once in awhile, huh?

Hi Gail! Thanks for giving us the update. I haven't had surgery, but it's good to know that some people get long lasting relief from the disease.
