Twice in the past week I have gotten extrememly naucious (sp?) and puked while I was going to the bathroom.  I think it's because the pain in my stomach has been so bad while I am going to the bathroom but I am not sure.  I've had Crohn's for 19 years now and have never had this happen before.  Has anyone else expereinced this?

Most all of my puking occured when I was on the toilet doing the other.  I always keep a bucket or garbage can near the toilet just for that purpose.  I also keep one next to my bed, in my car and at my desk at work for the just in case because most of the time it sneaks up on you.  And I really don't like puking into the toilet since most of the time there is a splash and eeeewwwww.  I know that as the pain increases with me that so did the nausea and vomitting.  Hope you feel better!

Yep, the most humiliating experience even when i am on my own is exploding from both ends...I have had this and it usually comes hand in hand with those deep gut contractions with the cold sweat. Closest other experience was labor pains, very similar...

Hi there,sounds like me before I started Imuran,which has been ,oh about five years,and knock on wood,no problems since.

I have it too! Only I work at a Casino and I wonder how many women think that I have been drinking! I go to the bathroom, throw up and go back to work! I hate it! I hope you get some positive feedback!

Perhaps it's a sign of a stricture. How are the #2's coming out? Does your stomach get bloated? Maybe the digestion is backed up and the body is trying to alleviate the pressure by pushing the food out the way it came in.

I'm dealing with something similar and this caught my eye.

I have had it many times. For me - the muscles get confused and push in both directions and so both ends go off at the same time.

i don't think it's a stricture- i still have at least one poop a day that's a normal amount if you know waht i mean...stomach's not bloated...but when i stand up after lying down for a while or even roll over sometimes i hear crazy noises from my gut and usually have to run to the bathroom. i think the puking might be from sheer pain but i don't know- yesterday when it happened it seemed more like bile than actual digested food...

I've thrown up many times within the past year while pooping at the same time. I get the cold sweats and body chills and then out of nowhere, while pooping, my mouth starts to water and I vomit. Sometimes if I haven't eaten anything recently, it's just awful dry-heaving.

It almost feels like there's so much stool inside me that while I'm going it's literally coming from the start of my small intestine and working it's way out...like the BM that's coming out is connected to the very start of my small intestine. Other times, I think it's the pain associated with the BM that causes the nausea. Then other times I think the vomiting is set off by the smell of the BM!

I've told my GI about my vomit-spells and told him it worried me because I thought I might have a partial blockage. He didn't think that was the case, though, because I wasn't having any problems going to the bathroom. Plus I wasn't vomiting every day.

Somehow I've managed to be lucky enough to be HOME with my OWN trash can next to me each time it's happened (which has been at least 25 times or more in the past year). I keep a plastic ziplock bag with me everywhere I go, just in case.

Kittikatt- you hit the nail on the head! my mouth gets watery, extreme pain, sometimes dry heaves. the ziplock is a good idea! it's only happened to me 2x now- but both have been in the past week so i'm sure there's more to come.
