I spent a week in the hospital in July 07 when I was first diagnosed. Supposed to be in the mountains for our annual camp-out and trail ride. After colonoscopy GI said I wouldn't feel like riding a horse but made it out for the last week and riding 6 hours a day. Fortunately, as of yet, I do not have diarrhea with my Crohn's.
Happy trails to you!

And by the way, Bammer is my horse's nickname. Went through quite a few user names before I got one that wasn't being used!!

Today was WONDERFUL! No pain, no nausea, no "D"... no need for worry! {sigh} The perfect day... I want more of these. With so much to constantly deal with with this DD, it's nice to finally get one day of pleasure without it interfering. :)
FYI: My girlfriend is wanting a half-mule and asked if she could breed my mare to one. I cringed a bit and then smiled and said, well, since Bailey's (my horse's barn name) registered name is A Beautiful Touch, I guess you could name it A beautiful Ass. hehe.
PS: Noticed of late that not many folks here reply to my posts. Have I gone and peeved everyone off? :(

I am so glad you had a great ride! It was a glorious day here with near-perfect early spring weather, and it would have been wonderful to be in the saddle again. An English saddle, of course. ;-) What did you see?? Any wildlife?

Thanks. Yes, there were deer running about
. They spooked my mare twice... but it I kept a tight hold on her when I saw them. Pretty cool. There was also a family putting stuff in the woods for a GPS game.
:) I am one worn out but happy gal right now.
Fitzy, thanks. :)

Randy -
I didn't think of the saddle pad until the morning after. In addition to the "normal??" pains my rump was sore as heck. Before my next ride, I am seeking a nice pad for my saddle. :)
Thanks for the reply. I am sometimes so outspoken and have been known to offend with my
openness. This is the only place where I don't want to offend folks. Outside of here I have the "I-don't-give-a-cr@p-what-you-think-of-me attitude"
{have the I don't wannas this morning - painnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn)
