Sheri, do you mean Xanax, which is a medicine for anxiety? If so, I take Xanax for anxiety attacks. I have taken it as needed for years and it has really helped me. .25 is the lowest prescription dose available. I hope this helps. Blessings, Julie

My family doctor had given it to me for the same reason you all have it, however I was also taking librax for IBS about a few years ago. I weaned myself off the librax when I was diagnosed and started on my Crohns medicaions and started feeling anxious a lot more.....well when I went for my checkup with my family doc he told me it was because of the nerve medicaion in the librax and I may find that I need the xanax more often since I didn't take the librax anymore. All of that being said...my family doctor told me last week that if I wanted I could go back on the lirbax for cramping and to help keep my nerves in check. I told him I thought I would pass because I have become less anxious about taking a xanax when I need one instead of waiting too long and going into a full attack. We talked a little more and agreed that since I don't need the xanax daily that it is a good tool to use when dealing with my anxiety and the crohns. I take .50 mg and am more than able to function at work, with my kids, etc.... it is like everyone else mentioned....it just takes the edge off things.
