very sick, questions

can anyone tell me what steroid induced diabetes feels like?  i feel very thirsty, i have very bad joint pain in my ankles and wrists that feels cold/hot and numb at times.  i have horrible fatigue where i feel like i am giong to pass out.  i feel flu-like also.  i am going to my primary today to discuss but i feel very very sick and i am not sure if this is chrons/colitis related, steroid related, something else, or all 3 of the above.   i have been getting sicker again every day since i got out of the hospital on friday.  not sure whats going on...but it keeps getting worse and i am kind of worried.   they said in the hospital my flare wasn't severe enough to warrant how sick i was feeling.

sorry you are feeling so unwell. As andorable said, make sure someone drives you to the doctors today. Some of the symptoms of being Diabetic is thurst, feelingsreally weak when you blood surgar is down. To the point of where your hands will tremer until you eat some sugar. Also, stinging in the eys is also a sing of it. My father has type 2 and I see this with him al the time. Be safe and give us an update. Good luck friend.

Im not quite as sick today which is the first time i can say that in weeks! No fever today, less joint pains, less d, little more energy. the weird hot/cold flashes in my feet arent as bad either. I need a few more days of this to think that maybe things are gonna start to look up for once...but im not counting on it based on history!

I went to my primary doctor yesterday and he decided to run a whole plethora of blood work to make sure theres nothing else beside GI issues going on. That should take a few days. In the meantime he gave me ultram 200 mg er tablets to take so that sholud hold me over with the joint pain, stomach cramps until we get some results back. Took 1 last night and was effective thankfully. so far today haven't needed any.

alot of times this stuff can be very confusing. with lowered immunity, i am a revolving door of disease which may masquerade as one long term ilness when in fact i may just have a series of infections or viruses.. or even pred withdrawal or pred itself. its hard to tell whats what. every night i go to sleep and hope that i wake up feeling less sick. i started out pretty rough today but got better as the day went on.

spoke too soon! back up to 100 degree fever. it was nice though for a few hours. always get it. something is goin on.
