I believe prednisone can cause your gums to recede, which in turn makes your teeth more sensitive. I'm the opposite of you though, it's my lower teeth that are sensitive. Part of my gum recession is also due to misalignment of the jaw.
If you take prednisone long term, your teeth can loosen and even fall out, if you don't get sufficient calcium.
