I was just wondering how long any of you have been on Imuran. It's been almost 4 years for me. I was Diagnosed in 05' w/ Crohns Disease. Is this a life long drug for me? I'm on 200 mlg and when I ask my Dr. about
it...he just says this is the one for you.

Yes, I think if it's working for you then you're meant to stay on it as a maintenance therapy for your crohn's.

I have been on Imuran for 4.5 years. I have a friend that has been on it for 12 years now. She has maintained remission that entire time when previously she was hospitalized 3-4 times a year for serious small bowel bleeds from the CD.

Hello, I've been taking Immuran for 10 years. It seems to keep me in remission. Make sure you get your blood done on a regular basis.
They keep a close eye on your Amalayse levels

I was put on 100mg of Imuran today. How long does it take to put you into remission? I am on Entocort. I have been on it for 3 months or so. I still have bloody diarrhea. I have an allergy to prednisone. So, I cannot use it.

I heard it takes about
90 days for results.
